1How we fund the site
GlobalSilentWalks is funded by display advertising, by sales in our own shop and, occasionally, by direct partnerships that we will always label. Running a multilingual site (hosting, tools, video production) has real costs; advertising lets us keep the guides free.
2Advertising networks
We show ads served by Google AdSense and by Monetag. These networks decide which ads you see, based on the page, your device and — only if you consent where the law requires it — your interests. Ads can include banners and full-screen “vignette” formats; they are third-party content, not endorsements by us.
You can change your cookie and advertising choices at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We do not place ads on checkout, legal or admin pages.
Seen an ad that is misleading, adult or malicious? Send us the page URL at globalsilentwalks@gmail.com and we will report it to the network and block it.
3Editorial independence
Advertisers and partners cannot buy placement, rankings or positive coverage. Recommendations are based on research, our own experience and public data. If we ever receive a product, a trip or a fee connected to an article, we will state it at the top of that article.
4Affiliate links and sponsored content
We do not currently use affiliate links or publish sponsored articles. If that changes, affected links will be marked (for example “affiliate link”) and described on this page, as required by consumer-protection and advertising-transparency rules.
5Our own shop
The shop sells travel accessories and the GlobalSilentWalks collection. We are the seller of these items; they are not third-party affiliate products. See the Terms of Sale for prices, delivery and returns.
6AI-assisted writing and translation
We use AI tools to help research, draft, translate and update articles across five languages. Content is reviewed by an editor for facts, links, prices and practical details before and after publication, and we correct errors when readers report them. Illustrations may be stock photos or generated mock-ups; shop images that are provisional mock-ups are replaced by real product photos as soon as available.
7Measurement
To understand which pages help readers, we use Google Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Umami) and anonymous first-party statistics for the shop. Details and your choices are in the Privacy Policy.
